The Climate
Winter begins late in march, ending at the beginning of September.
Winters are very mild, with warm days although the
evenings tend to be very cold.

Clothing
Lightweight cotton
long sleeved shirts and long trousers in khaki or green are
recommended for hunting as protection against thorns and the sun, although
shorts and short sleeved shirts are acceptable, should you prefer. A jacket
is suggested for the chilly early mornings and evenings, it is not necessary
to bring a great deal of clothing as laundry are available daily
Travel
You will
be transported from Johannesburg International Airport in a luxurious air
conditioned vehicle. The trip takes approximately 3 hours to camp, where our
friendly staff will be waiting to take care of your every need. |
| Health
No
vaccinations or medication is required as the camp is in a malaria-free
area. Should you wish to visit the Kruger National Park or other areas where
malaria is present, precautions are recommended. Please remember to bring
along sunscreen, SPF 15 or higher. |
Firearms
Firearm permits are issued upon arrival at Johannesburg International
Airport. Citizens of the USA must ensure that they are possession of a
complete signed United States Customs Form Nr 4457, listing applicable
firearms and serial numbers. This form is available at any USA Customs
Office and will only be issued after a physical inspection of your firearms.
Obtain a letter of invitation. No automatic or semi-automatic firearms are allowed.
Ensure that you have all the necessary paperwork available on arrival. |

Payment
To confirm your reservation we require a 50% deposit of the total daily rate. Please note that as this deposit is
non-refundable, it is recommended that you purchase trip cancellation
insurance. The balance is payable upon your arrival at the camp. We accept
travellers 's cheques, cash and electronic transfers to our account. VISA
and MasterCard payments are accepted. - please note that an additional 5%
commission will be added to the total due |
Insurance and Indemnity
While we take precaution to ensure our guests safety, UNICO SAFARIS does
not accept any liability for any injuries, illness, accidents or losses
sustained whilst on safari with us. We recommend that you contact your
personal care provider and ensure that your insurance cover will protect you
against any risk or medical emergency you may encounter.
